Adega Prawn Pasta

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns (shelled and cleaned)
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (slightly heaped)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons tomato purée
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 125ml fresh cream
  • Peppers (red and green)

Method

  1. Marinate prawns in all ingredients except butter and cream for one hour.
  2. Boil pasta of your choice and keep aside.
  3. Heat butter and cook prawns on high heat.
  4. When almost done but not dry, add in cubed peppers (red and green).
  5. Let the marinade reduce but not dry out completely.
  6. Lastly, add cream and toss in the pasta.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a casserole dish.
  8. Grate fresh Parmesan cheese over the top.
  9. Serve immediately.

Additional Tips:
  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of chili garlic paste.
  • Using homemade pasta can elevate the dish even further.
  • If you prefer a creamier texture, add a little more fresh cream.
